Tested and developed with and by our top athletes, the new MX SE5 Carbon helmet stands out for a carbon shell with three shell sizes, a new ventilation system to ensure maximum comfort to the rider thanks to the side gill intake louvers on the chin bar, and the Collarbone Mitigation System, the innovative collarbone protection system in EPP (expanded polypropylene) located in the lower side of the helmet to provide addition impact relief to the upper shoulder and collarbone area.

MIPS® INTEGRA
MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) is a patented technology born to protect the skull from impacts in the event of a fall and thus to reduce head injuries and the risk of concussions.
MIPS is a leading slip-plane technology inside the helmet designed to reduce rotational forces that can result from certain impacts. MIPS has been developed to reduce the rotational forces on the brain caused by angled impacts to the head.
INTEGRA is the latest evolution of MIPS: it one of the lightest and slimmest rotational management system (RMS) and the most integrated by MIPS. Perfectly integrated into the inner shell, this system ensures maximum comfort and minimum friction when wearing the helmet. The characteristic low-friction yellow layer (LFL) is co-molded inside the helmet above the dual-density EPS foam, which moreover protects against low-speed impacts.

IMPROVED FIT AND BREATHABILITY
SE5 motocross helmet features 3D contoured cheek pads in Dri-Lex®, a special fabric designed to ensure a perfect moisture management, and an inner liner in X-Static® antimicrobial fibers.
The cheek pads have an emergency release system for EMS responders in the event of a fall or crash.
Moreover, the Double-D system ensures an adjustable and safe closure of the helmet thanks to the two resistant titanium rings.

“SMART SHEAR” SCREWS FOR MAXIMUM SAFETY WHEN CRASHING
In the event of a fall, Troy Lee Designs has studied a system of pre-cut screws for easy impact break-away. The screws allow the visor to detach from the body of the helmet instead of breaking, thus preventing the rider from being injured during the impact.
